TSRTC crisis: Telangana calls Bandh today

Ashwathama Reddy, the convenor of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), said that it would remain closed like yesterday. The employees union called for a Bandh on 19 October.

Taxi drivers Uber and Ola have also announced the shutdown as they felt they should stand in solidarity for the TSRTC strike which continues from 5 October.

Meanwhile, the Telangana High Court directed the government to negotiate with the TSRTC employees unions and also asked to submit the report on 28 October.

Talks between TSRTC employee unions and the government will take place today at 10:30 am, as directed by the High Court.
