Rs. 15 crore released for Christmas: Telangana Chief Secretary

Hyderabad:TS Chief Secretary Mr. Pradeep Chandra released Rs. 15 crore for celebrating Christmas on a large scale by Christians. This amount would be used for distributing garments at 200 places for Christians. He issued instructions to District Collectors to make arrangements in this regard.
Mr. A.K. Khan, IPS, DGP of ACB conducted a video conference with all the Collectors of the State. He informed that in 24 Assembly constituencies of GHMC and in 96 villages garments would be distributed. He instructed church authorities to constitute committees from among the competent Christians to monitor distribution of garments. He also told the Collectors to ensure participation of MLAs and other peoples’ representatives. Present on this occasion were Principal Secretary of Finance, Mr. K. Rama Krishna Rao, Principal Secretary of GAD, Mr. Aadar Sinha, Secretary IT, Mr. Jaish Ranjan, Commissioner of Information and Public Relation, Mr. Naveen Mittal, Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare, Mr. Victor, MD of Christian Finance Corporation and others.
