PM Narendra Modi addresses Karnataka BJP workers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday interacted with the Karnataka’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Yuva Morcha Karyakartas (workers) via the Narendra Modi (NaMo) App.

“It is the good luck of BJP that instead of people being heaped on us from above, workers start working for people from the grassroots level & stays among them for 20-25 years,” PM Modi told Yuva Morcha Karyakartas of BJP Karnataka via the NaMo App.

The Prime Minister emphasised party’s plans for the poll-bound state. “We have a special focus on Karnataka in our manifesto. If a BJP govt is formed here, 60 Namma BPO complexes will be set up here,” he said.

PM Modi also stressed that there is no space for violence in a democracy and said when a person loses faith in himself & doesn’t have the strength to speak or accept the truth, he chooses the path of political violence.

“In 1984 there was a phase of violence after Indira Gandhi’s assassination. Since then it seems violence has become a part of the political system. Our workers were killed in Tripura, Kerala, Karnataka. This doesn’t suit democracy. Violence must be opposed,” he added.

Earlier, Prime Minister Modi took to Twitter and said, “On Monday, 7th May, at 9 AM I look forward to an interaction with @BJP4Karnataka Yuva Morcha Karyakartas via the NaMo App. Our young and energetic Karyakartas are doing commendable work at the grassroots level and popularising the good work of the Central Government among people.”

Prime Minister Modi had interacted with Kisan Morcha Karyakartas of BJP’s state unit, via the NaMo App, on May 1 and boosted their morale.

On a related note, Prime Minister Modi kick started a series of election rallies in the poll-bound state on May 1 and held three rallies on the first day alone.

Karnataka will go to polls on May 12 to elect its representatives for the 225-member assembly. The results will be out on May 15.
