PM Modi for law against benami properties

New Delhi : Declaring to carry forward the war against corruption and black money, PM Modi yesterday said that his government would soon operationalise a strict law to deal effectively with benami properties.

‘Mann ki Baat’ programme, the 27th edition, PM Modi said that his govt has revived the Benami Property legislation giving it more teeth to deal with the threat.

PM said the law, which was kept on back-burner since 1988, will be implemented stringently in the coming days.

Guarding the frequent changes in the rule of demonetisation, PM Modi said these have been done to reduce problems of the people and defeat forces trying to thwart his government’s fight against black money and corruption.
