Ola car allegedly set ablaze by striking cabbies in Hyderabad

Four drivers allegedly set an Ola cab ablaze on Friday in Sangareddy.They were part of the ongoing strike against cab aggregators in Hyderabad.

According to the sources, accused stopped the cab driver, and asked him why he was working while the others were on strike, subsequent which he has alleged that four drivers pulled him out and beat him up.

A complaint has been filed with the RC Puram Police.Since December 30, a large number of cabs in Hyderabad have been off the streets.

The drivers have demanded that no new cabs be licensed until existing drivers are guaranteed a minimum of daily bookings.

Several cab drivers of Ola and Uber, who were protesting on Wednesday in Hyderabad were taken into custody from Indira Park’s Dharna Chowk by the city police.
