Newly-appointed CBI Chief Rishi Kumar Shukla on Monday took over the charge.


Shukla took over from interim chief M. Nageswara Rao, who had stepped in after former chief Alok Verma was removed from the post by the selection panel, last month.
Shukla , a 1983-batch IPS officer, earlier served as the director-general of police, Madhya Pradesh.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Saturday named Indian Police Service officer Rishi Kumar Shukla as the new Central Bureau of Investigation director.
