CENTER RETURNS LAND ACQUISITION BILL TO TELANGANA

Hyderabad: Center has returned the Land Acquisition bill which was passed in the Telangana Assembly in December 2016.

The TS Govt. had sent this bill in January this year for getting the assent of President of India. The bill was pending for three months and now the Govt. of India raised many questions and ultimately returned it to the TS Govt. instead of sending it to President of India. Govt. of Telangana had hopes that this bill would get the assent of President of India. Govt. of India suggested certain amendment in it.

Center instructed the State Govt. to held a special session of Assembly to make amendments as suggested by Govt. of India.
