Don’t advised unwanted tests, operations:TS Health Minister

Health Minister Dr Ch Lakshma Reddy on sunday calling upon doctors to avoid unwanted tests and operations to people mainly women that victimized many villages in recent times, exhorted the doctors and medical fraternity to treat on humanitarian grounds the patients coming from far-off places.

The Health minister was speaking at the valedictory conference of Osmania Medical College Alumni Association here on Sunday.

The Health Minister said KCR will soon lay a foundation for a medical research building on the college premises spending Rs 12 crore and give five vehicles to the medical students. Efforts are on to prevent diseases and help the patients to get early diagnose and treatment on par with global standards at districts also, he said.

The TS government will expand dialysis, trauma care centers and improve kidney, liver and pancreatic tests in districts, he added.
