Prakash Pant inaugurate website of audit department

The website of audit department prepared by State Information Science Centre was inaugurated by Finance Minister Prakash Pant at Secretariat on Wednesday. The audit report will be digitized and linked through the website. The concerned Secretary, head of the department and DDO will also be linked with audit report online. This will speed up the work and bring transparency.

Speaking on the occasion, Finance Minister Prakash Pant said that website should also evaluate the information collected from field as it would help test the project and also highlight the shortcomings of the department thereby helping in improving the performance of the projects. He also called for more training to make the website more effective and in case of any mistake provision of alerts in the mobile numbers and e-mail address of concerned Secretary, head of department and DDO so that the shortcomings could be amended in a time bound manner. He said that the officers concerned with the upkeep of the website at all levels have to be active and instructed that there should be a provision of physical verification of the projects on the website also. He said that the website should be strengthened so that monitoring of government properties could be ensured.

Secretary IT R.K. Sudhanshu also called for provision of a help desk in the website so that pending audit para objections could be solved by the DDO and head of the department. He expected that the response time in the process should be minimum.

Secretary Finance Amit Singh Negi assured to include the suggestions given by the Finance Minister in the website. He also thanked the Finance Minister for giving useful suggestions and advice in the field of finance from time to time.
