Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad: 7.48 lakh crore rupees sent through DBT in last 5 years

Union Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad informed the House that in the past five years, 7.48 lakh crore rupees have been sent through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Responding to a question in Lok Sabha regarding the Aadhaar and Other Laws Amendment Bill, 2019, the Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told the House that in the past five years, 7.48 lakh crore rupees have been sent through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The Minister also stated that a saving of Rs. 1.41 Lakh crore has been made through implementation of Aadhar.
