Kedarnath Shrine reopens for pilgrims on Thursday

Doors of the Kedarnath Shrine reopen after remaining closed for six months, Badrinath Shrine will reopen tomorrow, this also signals beginning of the annual Char Dham Yatra

In Uttarakhand ,Char Dham yatra has begun as the portal of Gangotri and Yamunotri opened for the pilgrims after the winter.

The portals of Kedarnath Temple has reopened for public today. The idol of Lord Shiva was moved out of his winter abode at Ukhimath’s Omkareshwar Temple on May 6.

Kedarnath Temple is visited by lakhs of tourists and devotees every year from across the country and abroad.

It is closed during winter season, when it is snowbound.
