With his candidature Shah will be seeking to make his debut to the Lok Sabha…Union ministers Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari and leaders of BJP’s allies such as Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, SAD supremo Parkash Singh Badal and LJP founder Ram Vilas Paswan will be present during Amit Shah’s filing of nomination.

The announcement of Amit Shah as the candidate from Gandhinagar marks a new chapter not only in the BJP but in Gandhinagar as well. BJP dropped stalwart leader and sitting MP LK Advani. Advani has been a member of Parliament from Gandhinagar since 1991, barring 1996 and 1998, when the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Vijaybhai patel won.
