Those responsible for Pulwama attack have made a huge mistake; will pay heavily for it: PM Modi

PM Narendra Modi on Friday paid tribute to the martyred soldiers of a terror attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.

He said that he understands the anger and expectations of the citizens of India. He also said that our security forces have been given full freedom to do what is needed.

“Those who are rsponsible for this attack have made a huge mistake and I assure the country that they will be punished heavily,” PM Modi said at an event in New Delhi.

“I also understand the feelings of those who are criticizing us. They have every right to do so. However, I’d request them to stay away from political blame-game at this sensitive time. The nation will fight this together,” PM said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has warned Pakistan that attacks such as the one on CRPF soldiers in Pulwama will not weaken India and those responsible will have to pay a very heavy price.

He said the defence forces have been given full freedom and the forces behind this act of terrorism will definitely be punished. He stated this while flagging off the country’s first semi high speed train – Vande Bharat Express from New Delhi Railway station.

The Prime Minister said if India’s neighbour, which has been totally isolated in the world, thinks that it can destabilise India through its conspiracies, then it is making a big mistake. He added that this will never happen. Mr. Modi thanked all the nations who have supported India and condemned the incident in the strongest terms and urged them to come together to crush terrorism.

PM Modi also urged the political parties to refrain from any kind of political mudslinging as this is a very sensitive and emotional matter. He said the message should go around the world that India is fighting unitedly against such gruesome act. He also paid tribute to CRPF jawans who lost their lives in Pulwama Attack.
