CM Rawat assure all help to patients of food poisoning at Sushila Tewari hospital, Haldwani
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat met the patients of food poisoning which took place at Vasti village in Bageshwar district, at Sushila Tewari hospital at Haldwani on Sunday and enquired about their well being. He sought information from the hospital administration about the medical facilities being rendered to the affected patients. Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat was accompanied by Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister Arvind Pandey and state BJP president Ajay Bhatt.
Enquiring about the well being of the patients in the Sushila Tewari Hospital, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat instructed the doctors to provide best medical help to the victims. He said that it is the priority of the state government to provide treatment to the food poisoning patients. He said that compensation would be paid to those who died in the incident as per the rules and all other victims will be treated free of cost by the state government. Chief Minister said that the state government and the administration stands with the victims in their hour of sorrow. He instructed Commissioner and Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajeev Rautela to personally supervise the medical facilities being given to the patients and ensure that the patients and their relatives who are looking after them do not face any kind of problem.
During the inspection, medical superintendent of Sushila Tewari Hospital Dr Arun Kumar Joshi informed that a total of 42 patients were admitted in the hospital out of which two patients died including a women and a child. He assured the Chief Minister that food poisoning patients would be given best of treatment by the doctors and management of the hospital. Dewan Singh Bisht, local legislator, District Magistrate Vinod Kumar Suman, SSP Janmejay Khanduri, Principal Medical College Dr.C.P. Bhainsora, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Bharati Rana were present during the inspection.
