CS review ‘Char Dham’ road project through video conferencing

Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh held a review meeting through video conferencing on ‘Char Dham’ road project with concerned District Magistrates at secretariat on Tuesday. The District Magistrates of Rudraprayag, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Champawat and Pithoragarh and other concerned officials were present.

Chief Secretary gave strict instructions that the debris of the road construction should be disposed off at the designated places in a scientific manner. He instructed the Chief Engineer, National Highways, Garhwal Hari Om Sharma and Under Secretary, PWD, Dinesh Punetha to jointly inspect the problems associated with road construction in Chamoli district. He also asked for speedy work on the 28 projects associated with ‘Char Dham’ road project.

Additional Chief Secretary Om Prakash, Secretary Forest and Environment Arvind Singh Hyanki, District Magistrate Rudraprayag Mangesh Ghildyal, District Magistrate Tehri Sonika, District Magistrate Uttarkashi Asish Chauhan, Additional District Magistrate Chamoli Mohan Singh Barnia, Technical Advisor R.P. Bhatt, Regional officer Road Transport and National Highway Ministry O.P. Shrivastava and officers of BRO, Peyjal, Power and other concerned departments were present.
