PM Modi review ‘Pradhan Mantri Khaniz Kalyan Yojna’ through video conferencing
A Mining and Mineral Act has been enacted for the benefits of the people and areas affected by mining. Under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Khaniz Kalyan Yojna,’ District Mineral Foundation (DMF) has been formed. A total of 60 per cent of this fund will be utilized for drinking water, environment conservation, health facilities, education, Women and child Development and cleanliness.
Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi on Wednesday, under Proactive Governance and Timely Implementation (Pragati) reviewed Pradhan Mantri Khaniz Kalyan Yojna’ through video conferencing.
Prime Minister was told by Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Ranveer Singh that in Uttarakhand, District Mineral Foundation Rules 2017 have been implemented. The data entry work at the district level on ‘PM Khaniz Shettra Kalyan Portal’ has started. He informed that 119 projects have been sanctioned and work on two projects have started. The work on rest of the projects will be started soon.
It is to be mentioned that PM Khaniz Shettra Kalyan Yojna is being run in three districts of Udham Singh Nagar, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar. Principal secretary Mining Anand Vardhan and other senior officers were present during the video conferencing.
