A day before Monsoon Session, Speaker and Centre call all-party meet

Ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan will hold discussions with leaders of various political parties on Tuesday.

The Monsoon Session of Parliament will begin on July 18.

The Speaker will seek the support of the parties in ensuring smooth functioning of the session and passage of various pending bills.

Prior to this meeting, the government has convened an all-party meeting in New Delhi. During the meeting, the Centre will seek Opposition’s support for the smooth conduct of proceedings in both the Houses.
