Uttarakhand Chief Minister released Shrimad Bhagvad Gita translated into Grahwali titled “ Shri Garh Gita Ji”
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat released the Garhwali version of ‘Shrimad Bhagvad Gita’ translated by late Jagdish Prasad Thapliyal titled “ Shri Garh Gita Ji” at his residence on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that the teachings of Gita has shown the realistic direction and set the significance of human life. He said that the knowledge acquired by our saints after deep penance and study is contained in Vedas. The Gita contains the summary of Vedas and Upnishads that is why our mystics termed “Bhagvad Gita” as the most useful text for humans.
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that “ Bhagvad Gita” not only gives the message of worldy activities to the humans but also gives a philosophical approach and gives a message of selfless service. He said that “Bhagvad Gita” shows the way to get over the troubles, disappointments and uncertainties of the world. Being one of the famous books in the world point towards its’ acceptability.
He said that Uttarakhand government has making effective steps to promote public culture and local languages of the state. The Chief minister said that Garhwali version of Shrimad Bhagvad Gita translated by late Jagdish Prasad Thapliyal in poetry and prose in the form of “ Shri Garh Gita Ji” is a great service of our language.
Speaking on the occasion PadamShri Leeladhar Jagudi said that late Jagdish Prasad Thapliyal was not only a teacher but despite being a teacher he tried to spent his life being like a thoughtful and curious student.
Gita remained his guide in his life and he did a great favour by resolving to translate the great thoughts of Gita in his own language. “It is his great favour on us, He said. Leeladhar Jagudi said that by translating the ‘Shalokas’ of ‘Gita’ in Garhwali language Late Jagdish Prasad Thapliyal has marked his presence in the society.
Munna Singh Chauhan, Legislator, Media adviser to the Chief Minister Ramesh Bhatt, Media coordinator Darshan Singh Rawat, industrial adviser K.S.Panwar, Former Director Rajbhasa Vishwanath Kailkhuri, Dr. Ram Vinay Singh, senior journalist Jai Singh Rawat, Chander Kala Thapliyal wife of late Jagdish Prasad Thapliyal and his daughter Jyotsna Thapliyal and their family members were present on the occasion.
“ Shri Garh Gita Ji” has been published by Winsar Publishing and financied by Culture department of Uttarakhand government. The book is edited by Officer on Special Duty, Information department Malkeshwar Prasad Kailkhuri. Kirti Navani, Director of Winsar publishing proposed a vote of thanks.
