PM to lay foundation stone of various projects in Manipur
Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lay the foundation stone of various projects including National Sports University and inaugurate many other projects at the Luwangsangbam Multi Sports Complex in Imphal on Friday.
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi tours Manipur on Friday, he will not only inaugurate the Indian Science Congress but he will also shower several developmental gifts on the state. The PM will either inaugurate or lay foundation stones of over a dozen projects at Luwangsangbam Multi Sports Complex in Imphal which will also be inaugurated during the event.
— Prominent among the projects being initiated by the PM is the first of its kind in the North-East, the National Sports University
— He will also launch an ecotourism project
— Sadbhavana Mandaps
— A thousand Anganwadi Centres
— 19 residential complexes for teachers, doctors & nurses
Minister of State for Development of North East Region Dr Jitendra Singh and Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore will also be part of the occasion. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh and several state ministers will be there as well.
The PM will also honour world renowned boxing champion and Rajya Sabha member Mary Kom at the event and address the gathering.
The Modi govt has put added emphasis on the development of the North-East region since it has been in office. Several infrastructure and development boosting works have been started and completed during its tenure & more are being added to the list on Friday.
