He discussed and reviewed the issues in implementation of the eNAM for procurement of Mirchi crop which is expected to arrive in the markets at the earliest with the traders and marketing officials.he also expressed that eWeighing will bring in the transparency of market transactions.
The traders have expressed their problems of lack in liquid cash for dealing market operations and payment for Hamalis. The traders has also requested the Secretary for arranging relaxation for traders in drawing cash at the banks. The Secretary has responded and said that he would talk to the bankers which are having more transactions with traders and also arrange for mobile ATM at the market.
He also instructed the officials to see that the farmers need not be kept waited for a long time for the process of procurement under eNAM. The mirchi traders requested for having space for drying mirchi crop when arrived in the market. He said that the District Collectors of Medchal and Rangareddy will be contacted for identifying land for establishment of spacious market yard near ORR.
He said that during the recent bandh by the traders from 15th to 24th of this month the Marketing department has procured onions from Wanaparthy and Jogulamba Districts from the field of 435 farmers with 221 vehicles filling with 56598 bags of 28773 quintals of onion and sold to the consumers at a reasonable price.
