Chandra Babu inaugurates “Pi Data Centre” in Mangalagiri

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandra Babu Naidu said that they are making all the efforts to make the state a technological hub. On Friday he inaugurated the Pi Data Centre which was set up with a worth of 600cr in Mangalagiri IT Park of Guntur district. CM who came there as a chief guest, said that they are going to use technology in all the development and welfare schemes like pensions and house building. He said that during the tenure of late NTR as CM during 1985, their government has used computers to store 6L files. In 1995 as the internet revolution took place, CM said that he spoke to Microsoft CEO Bill Gates to setup a Microsoft office in Hyderabad. He said that he has increased the count of engineering colleges from 30 to 300.

He said that 10 companies have come forward to tie up with Pi Data Centre and he has asked the companies to provide jobs to the un-employed youth in Communication and technological fields. He said that they are going to use bio-metric technology in all the Government offices, schools and colleges and also make use of e-office and e-development methods. AP Minister for IT Lokesh while speaking in the meeting said that they are using latest technologies in developing the state. He said in 5 years they will provide 20K jobs to the un-employed youth in Mangalagiri IT Park. He said that they will use technology in providing services to the rural areas also. Pi Data Centre CEO M. Kalyan while speaking said that they are happy with the launch of their regional firm which will provide 1300 jobs to youth. State level officers Vijay Nanda, Ajay Jain, district collector Kona Shashidhar, representatives of various firms have attended this meeting.
