Third phase of “Haritha Haram” to begin today in Telangana
Telangana’s prestigious plantation project-Haritha Haram, third phase to begin today in Karimnagar. The State Government has decided to plant 40cr of plants in this phase. TS Chief Minister K. Chandra Shekar Rao will be launching this third phase by planting the saplings across the Lower Manair dam at 11.30 am. In the first two phases of Haritha Haram, around 48cr of plants were planted across the state. This time in this third phase alone they have decided to plant 40cr of plants across the state. The State government has decided to setup a green brigade to take care of the plants that are being planted under this Haritha Haram plantation scheme.
The state government has decided to reward the people with cash prizes ranging from 1L to 15L, who take up the initiative of protecting the plants across the state. Around 15cr is to be given to the public as reward in total. Along with this they have decided to give 5 grace marks to students who take the initiative to protecting the plants. Along with the plantation, state government is going to use the technique of seed ball bombing. For this seed ball bombing, 60-70L of seed balls is already prepared. Haritha Haram began way back in 2015 from Ranga Reddy district Moinabad mandal’s Chilkur by CM K.Chandra Shekar Rao. In the first phase, due to the less rainfall across the state, 16.49cr of plants were planted across the state. In the second phase in 2016, with better conditions, 32.51cr of plants were planted. This time in the third phase they have set a target of planting 40cr of plants in which there will be 20 percent of fruit plants.
