Mahabubnagar will be East Godavari of Telangana: CM

Hyderabad:TS Chief Minister KCR stated that old Mahabubnagar district will turn out to be the East Godavari of Telangana State. With 18 lakh acres slated to come under irrigation after the completion of pending projects as well as new projects like the Palamuru Lift Irrigation Scheme.

KCR gave a power point presentation on water resources and designs of various irrigation projects in Mahabubnagar district to the group comprising Congress MP Nandi Yellaiah, Dr Chinna Reddy, MLAs D K Aruna, Sampath Kumar, Vamshichand Reddy and MLC Damodar Reddy.

The Telangana CM further said that he was looking beyond politics in his endeavour to wipe out all the injustices the district suffered during the undivided AP rule.

Uttering that the Palamuru Lift Irrigation Scheme and the Dindi project will be completed at any cost, he said through the Palamuru scheme, Rangareddy district will also get water.
