TS Health Minister Inaugurated new patient rooms in NIMS

Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences which is providing corporate level treatment to patients under the government supervision is now equipped with 45 new payment rooms with all the modern facilities and latest equipments in them with 24 hours doctor assistance. Telangana Health Minister Dr C. Lakshma Reddy on Wednesday inaugurated 45 of the 90 rooms built in the hospital. Each floor in the newly built block will consist of 15 rooms with a LED T.V’s, water from solar water heaters, LED lights, soft cushion beds and  AC’s in them and the remaining 45 rooms to be built in a span of six months. NIMS hospital has up till now undergone a lot of changes right from its establishment. The bed strength which was earlier 1140 has now gone to 1460. Before the Telangana formation Outpatient (OP) which was in between 1400-1500 has now gone up to 2500 per day. Inpatient (IP) which was earlier 80-90 has now gone up to 120-135. The hospital has setup emergency medicine department which didn’t exist earlier. MRI and Transplant retractor equipments are now setup in hospital. Organ transplantations are also being done in the hospital and due to this the patients visiting the hospital is increasing and to provide them the facilities the measures are being taken by the hospital management. The new rooms built with all the facilities by the hospital is going to cost Rs.2000 for individual and Rs.1000 on a sharing basis for two.
