TRS MP K. Kavitha to seek re-election from Nizamabad

Telangana Rashtra Samithi MP K Kavitha, daughter of TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, will seek re-election from the Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency, as the TRS announced the list of 17 candidates for the April 11 Lok Sabha polls on Thursday.

The TRS has dropped three sitting MPs and denied re-nomination to another former MP in the list of party candidates released on Thursday.

Those dropped included TRS leader in the Lok Sabha and Mahbubnagar MP A.P. Jithender Reddy, Mahbubabad MP A. Sitaram Naik and Khammam MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy who won on YSR Congress ticket last time but joined the TRS later.
