State Government is committed for the investment-friendly environment in the state: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra
- In the financial year 2017-18, 594 proposals of Rs 3200 crore were approved, compared to which 92 proposals of Rs 2.5 thousand crores approved in just 2 months of fiscal year 2018-19
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat graced the “Interaction with Chief Minister” programme organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at a local hotel in Dehradun on Wednesday. On this occasion, Chief Minister said that the state government is making efforts to provide a conducive environment for the investors in the state. Government can provide maximum facilities to investors. The state is doing a good job in the field of industry but still it needs more maturity. CII has always been playing an important role for the development of the state. In Ease of Doing Business category, the state figures among the category of the leader states.
Chief Minister said that in the field of state industry, the state has joined the main category of the leader states. The state government has given permission to the District Magistrates to give approval upto Rs 10 crores for the industries. In the state a single window system is implemented for the industry, which will definitely benefit the investors. Investors Meet is also proposed in October, which will surely attract the investors.
Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is making efforts in the field of organic farming. He said that making amendments in the Film Policy, the state government has exempted the film shooting from tax. Many movie projects are starting here and soon shooting of South India film is going to begin. With the promotion of the film industry, local businessmen, hoteliers and artists will get employment opportunities. In the field of shooting sites too, there are many possibilities in Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand is very beautiful from scenic point of view. Along with the cities, there is requirement of good hotels in other regions as well. CII can play an important role in making good hotels. Chief Minister called upon the CII saying that we all get together for undertaking development in Uttarakhand.
Principal Secretary Manisha Pawar said that the state government is doing a very good job in the field of Ease of Doing Business. To promote the industry, the state government has implemented single window system. She said that Chief Minister has instructed that single window system should be made simple. The government is continuously making efforts to make the single window system simple. Because of the reforms undertaken by the state government, in the financial year 2017-18, 594 proposals of Rs 3200 crore were approved, compared to which 92 proposals of Rs 2.5 thousand crores have been approved in just 2 months of fiscal year 2018-19.
