Digi Dhan Mela held at Ambedkar Stadium in Karimnagar today

Prime Minister of India Sri. Narendra Modi had taken a courageous decision for demonetisation  of Rs.500 and Rs. 1,000 currency notes to unearth black money and contain corruption. While addressing the gathering at the Digi Dhan Mela held at Ambedkar Stadium in Karimnagar today. the Union Minister for Labour and Employment (Independent Charge )Sri. BANDARU  DATTATREYA said that

JAM Jandhan Yojana, Aadhar, Mobile will revolutionise the digital transactions. He also said that NITI Aayog  provides 340 Crores cash awards to merchants and consumers for making digital transactions.Rs. 2,20,000 loans given to the people through mudra bank.  Rs.1,70,000 Crore loans provided people in Telangana State.

Women empowerment enables national development. Garib kalyan yojna is meant for providing better educational and health facilities   to    the poorest of the poor.

26 Crore People opened new Bank Account  In the Country.  Rs 15 Lakhs Crores are available   in the Banks in India.

Bandaru Dattatreya further said that BHIM APP is very useful for  Aadhar based cashless transactions and 2 Crores of people comes under this app. The cashless transactions and digital economy promotes the transparency and accountability in India .  2,20,000 Cores rupees of loans were provided through mudra banks  The last draw of the BHIM App will held on 14th April and 50 lakhs  Cash Awards  will be announced on that day.

The ministry of Labour and employment has  taken several initiatives for the welfare of Beedi workers in Telangana especially in Karimnagar district. 17,000 Camps  were   conducted  and 48 lakhs new bank accounts have been opened for workers . The wages to the Beedi workers along with provident fund and  pension will be provided through bank accounts.The minister also said that the percapita income of the Indians have been  increased and more than 7% of growth rate has also achieved. Speaking on the occasion Sri Etala Rajendar, Minister for Finance, Telangana State said that the state of Telangana will be the Model state in the country in cashless transactions. It is unfortunate that several people are not paying the income tax. The Wealth of the Nation should fulfil the needs of all the citizens of the country , the Minister added. He also appealed to the people to get receipts while purchasing services. Participating in the function Member of Parliament Sri B. Vinod Kumar said that he is fully supporting the Demonetisation decision of Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi. The MP has said that he will also participate in the Lok Sabha on the Demonetisation initiative.

In order to promote digital transactions Niti Aayog and the state Government of Telangana jointly conducted a ‘Digidhan’ mela in Karimnagar today. People from different walks of life, including students professionals and common public thronged the free mela where officials and volunteers explained about digital transactions. The Niti Aayog has been organising these melas across the country as part of its ‘100 days, 100 cities’ drive to combat corruption and black money. During the Mela, people got the chance toopen bank accounts and also enrolling for the Aadhaar card. This is great opportunity for the people to learn how to complete digital transactions,instead of using hard cash. This Mela is organized primarily to change the mindset of the people.
