CM Rawat reviews works of Cane Development & Sugar Industry Department

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat reviewed the works of Cane Development and Sugar Industry Department at Secretariat on Thursday. During the meeting, it was informed that the Crushing Season 2018-19 will be started in Kichha, Doiwala, Bajpur, Nadehi sugar mills in the last week of November. The availability of sugarcane in Kichha sugar mill will be 45 lakh quintal, Doiwala sugar mill will be 32 lakh quintal, Bajpur sugar mill will be 35 lakh quintal and Nadehi sugar mill will be 30 lakh quintal. So far, through tenders, 150789 quintal of molasses has been sold and the lifting of 10834.70 quintal molasses is in progress. UJVNL has signed a contract for setting up co-power project of 22 MW in Sugar mill Bajpur and 16 MW in Sugar Mill Nadehi besides the modernization of the sugar mills.
Minister of State for Co-operatives Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Secretary SenthilPandian and other senior officials of Cane Development and Sugar Industry Department were present in the meeting.
