Cabinet passes resolution on GST

The Central Cabinet has passed a proposal and thanked Chief Ministers of States and other important people for their cooperation in implementing the GST.
In the resolution passed at the meet chaired by PM Modi, cooperation from heads of all national and regional parties, MPs, state assembly members and industry has been proclaimed.
GST is the largest tax reform in independent India. On the indirect tax front, there will be a revolutionary change through the new tax regime and the burden of tax on the common man will be reduced.
GST is also a bright example of national unity and financial federalism.
It is worth mentioning that on the night of June 30, there will be a special function in the Central Hall of Parliament House wherein a number of programs will be witness to the change in tax structure and implementation of GST across the country between the night of June 30 and July 1.
