Amaravati’s Administrative headquarters construction to begin on Vijayadashimi:Narayana

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Capital development P Narayana said that CM Chandra Babu Naidu has decided to begin the construction of Administrative headquarters of people’s capital Amaravati on Vijayadashimi. In Secretariat, Chief Minister, Minister Narayana, CRDA officials, members from Fosters and Hafeez Contractors discussed about Amaravati master plan. Later in 4 block publicity cell, Minister Narayana gave the meeting details to media. Naryana said that CM has quoted construction of Amaravati as symbol of pride and construction of Polavaram as symbol of progress. He said that in 900 acres there will be Assembly, Secretariat, residences of ministers, IAS and other official residences and in 450 acres there will be a High Court, residences of Judges and other officials.

He said that State’s Secretariat will be in Kohinoor diamond shape and High Court will be in a pyramid shape and each building in Secretariat will have 10 floors.  Ministers, Secretariat, HOD’s are to be present in same floor. He said 50 percent of the land will consist of greenery and water bodies and in between them there will be 500 feet iconic tower from which 217 km of Amaravati can be completely seen and this area will be made into a tourist place. On either side of the Administrative headquarters, there will be statues of NTR and Dr. B.R Ambedkar. Minister said that on the bank of river Krishna there will be a multi-use zone.

He said that Fosters will submit the Secretariat designs by August 15 and Hafeez contractors will sumbit their structural designs. Minister said that in November the government will call for tenders and start the construction by Vijayadashimi. He said that by August 30 blue print of High Court and by September 15 structural designs of it will be submitted. He said that CRDA will call for tenders within a month. He said that with a year and half the complete construction of Amaravati will be done by CRDA.  He also mentioned that Fosters has shown the basic designs of High court to Chief Justice and other 5 member committee and made the suggested changes. He said that the designs submitted by Fosters will be shown to President, PM Modi, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, and Urban Development Minister Venkaya Naidu through a power point presentation as decided by Chandra babu Naidu.
