VP Election: Venkaiah Naidu Files Nomination

BJP party  has declared their party favorite Venkaiah Naidu as National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) candidate for the post of Vice-President. Naidu resigned from the post of the Minister of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and the Minister of Information and Broadcasting as soon as NDA announced his name.

Venkaiah Naidu is now all set to  contest the vice-presidential poll against United Progressive Alliance (UPA) candidate, Diplomat Gopal Krishna Gandhi , grandson of Mahatma Gandhi and former West Bengal Governor.

The vice-presidential Poll is scheduled to be held on August 5. Hamid Ansari’s term as the Vice-President ends on August 10.
