Usage of Antibiotics in aqua fields should be banned
Andhra Pradesh Minister for Marketing and fisheries Adhi Narayana Reddy has ordered the fisheries department officials to take proper measures to stop the usage of antibiotics in fish cultivation and other aqua based activities. He has asked the officials to conduct awareness camps for the farmers who are dependent on this aqua based cultivations and tell them the process and methods required to reduce the diseases and increase the immunity in the aqua life. He has asked the officials to educate the farmers about the ill effects of using antibiotics in fish rearing. Minister has conducted a department level meeting with the higher officials of the fisheries department.
He said that there is a necessity to improve the fish cultivation process as it can provide job opportunities in the village level. He said that with the usage of coastal belt available for the fish cultivation across the state, there will be a huge revenue generation. He has also ordered the officials to frame measures for improving the condition of poultry and other animal based farming’s in the state.
