UJVN Limited is doing a good job: CM Rawat
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat participated in the programme organized on the eve of the State Foundation Day by UJVN Limited at Ujjawal, Maharani Bagh located on GMS Road on Thursday. On this occasion, a check of Rs. 18.69 crores was handed over to the State Government by UJVN Limited.
Chief Minister said that UJVN Limited is doing a good job. He expressed hope that the situation of the corporation will improve further in the coming time. Chief Minister said that there is a lot of power generation in Uttarakhand but for some reasons it is not being harnessed. The projects which can be operated soon, it is our endeavour to start them promptly. Along with hydro projects, work is being done in the state on solar projects as well. On this occasion, Chief Minister also honoured the retired officers of the corporation.
Agriculture Minister Subodh Uniyal said that there are three such areas of tourism, power and agriculture in Uttarakhand, which have significant contribution in the state’s economy. There is a need to pay particular attention to these areas to prevent migrations from hill areas.
Chairman of Uttarakhand Electricity Regulatory Commission Subhash Kumar, MD UJVNL S.N. Verma, UPCL MD B.C.K Mishra, Director Human Resources Dr. Avinash Chandra Joshi etc. were present on the occasion.
