Severe action against ganjai cultivation: CS Dinesh Kumar

Andhra Pradesh CS Dinesh Kumar has conducted a meeting with the excise department officials to discuss about the action being taken to completely stop the cultivation of ganjai i.e cannabis in Andhra region. He has discussed about the combined work to be done by the Police, Excise, Revenue department’s task force and the setting up of check posts to restrict the ganjai in AP. He said that the state government has appointed a special task force to tackle the ganja cultivation and its transport.

CS said that the cultivation of ganja is more in the rocky agency areas where the naxals influence is more. He said that due to the rocky surface, it is getting difficult for the force to enter that area and the availability of transport to those areas is almost impossible. CS said that to tackle such situation, the government has planned to provide the force with special vehicles. DGP Samba Shiva Rao was present in this meeting along with CS.
