Prime Minister Modi To Address BJP Legislators
NEW DELHI: PM Modi will address BJP legislators this morning as the winter session of Parliament draws to a close, washed out by protests over the government’s ban on 500 and 1,000 rupee notes aimed at unearthing black or undeclared money.
Modi is likely to take on Congress VP-Rahul Gandhi who made the fiery claim two days ago that he has information on personal corruption of the Prime Minister.
However, the BJP has dismissed it as “the joke of the year” .
It has further challenged Mr Gandhi to make public the information he claims to have.
PM speech to BJP legislators will aired live on national broadcaster Doordarshan. Whereas the Opposition has objected, but the government says since the opposition is not allowing Parliament to function, this is the way for PM Modi to directly reach the people.
The winter session of Parliament has seen effectively no work done as the government. The opposition have argued over how to debate the demonetisation – with or without a vote.
However Blaming game is on.
