PM to dedicate and lay foundation stone for key health projects today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lay foundation stone of National Centre for Aging at AIIMS in New Delhi; will inaugurate many key projects including a 555-bed super speciality block and 500-bed new emergency block in Safdarjung hospital.

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will visit the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi on Friday where he will lay the Foundation Stone of the National Centre for Aging at AIIMS. This will provide the elder population with multi-speciality healthcare. The centre will have 200 general ward beds.

PM Modi will also inaugurate the 300-bed PowerGrid Vishram Sadan in AIIMS. The Motorable tunnel connecting AIIMS to the Trauma Centre will also be thrown open.

During the same event, the Prime Minister will dedicate the 555-bed Super Speciality Block in Safdarjung Hospital. He will also dedicate the 500-bed New Emergency Block in Safdarjung Hospital.

More than 8000 patients visit OPD at Safdarjung Hospital every day and thousands consult doctors in the emergency unit.
