PM Modi to interact with BJP Chief Ministers

Bharatiya Janata Party has convened a meeting of Chief Ministers and deputy chief ministers of BJP-rule states on Wednesday.

BJP Chief Amit Shah will address the inaugural session of the meet, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the concluding session. Organisational preparation, review of important schemes launched by the centre, simultaneous polls across the country, providing health insurance cover to around 10 crores families, and preparation for Lok Sabha polls are some of the agenda expected to be discussed during the day-long meet.

Notably, BJP has 14 chief ministers, while party also has deputy chief ministers in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting will primarily discuss the strategies to strengthen the organisation. The meeting holds crucial as it will discuss the ground-level preparations, the appointment of ‘Panna Parmukh’ with the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers.

Besides, the meeting is likely to discuss the strategies for those 120 seats which party has never won. Since, the assembly elections in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh will be held later this year, the meeting will also have special discussions on these states.
