PM Modi: ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’ essence of Swami Vivekananda’s message

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Valedictory Function of the 125th Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago speech, organized by Sri Ramakrishna Math, at Coimbatore via video conferencing.

Addressing the function PM Modi said that Swamiji was amongst the first to espouse the philosophy of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.

Prime Minister said that Swami Vivekanada gave the mantra of self confidence and love for the nation that is driving New India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that democracy and debate have thrived in India for centuries.

But there are still several challenges to overcome. He added that external forces have always tried to divide society whenever such challenges have arisen.
