Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to visit India on Friday
Prime Minister of Nepal K.P.Sharma Oli has expressed hope that his forthcoming visit to India will further strengthen age old, multidimensional friendship between India and Nepal.
Briefing House of Representatives, the lower house of the parliament this afternoon Mr. Oli said that visit will help in moving forward Indo-Nepal relations based on equality, mutual benefit and respect.
He said that various issues including agriculture, energy, connectivity, trade and investment and reconstruction will be discussed during the visit.
Oli also said that he will thrust on to reduce huge trade deficit with India. He will be visiting India from April 6 to 8 on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
A high-level delegation will also accompany him. During the visit, Prime Minister of Nepal will call on President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and hold talks with PM Modi. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and other ministers will call on Nepalese Prime Minister.
Besides official engagements in New Delhi, Oli will also visit G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand.
This will be the first foreign visit of Oli after assuming the office of Prime Minister in February this year.
