National Deworming Day to be organised on August 10

Under the instructions of the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry, National Deworming Day is being organised on August 10. On this day, all the children between age group of 01-19 years in all government, government aided schools, Anganwadi centers, madrassas, crèches and orphanages will be administered Albendazole tablet – medicine used to kill the worms in the stomach. Giving this information, Director National Health Mission (NHM) Dr. Anjali Nautiyal said that for giving the information about the National Deworming Day and the arrangements made by the Health Department regarding administering Albendazole tablets, a press conference has been organised in Directorate of Health auditorium on Wednesday, 08 August 2018 at 12.00 noon.
