Minister Arya inaugurates Kavi Sammelan and Mushaira

On the eve of Independence Day, Cabinet Minister Mr. Yashpal Arya inaugurated a Kavi Sammelan and Mushaira by lightning the traditional lamp at the Town Hall, Municipal Corporation on Tuesday. He presented a shawl to the poets and shayar present on the occasion. He said that the poet have always worked to give new direction to society with their creations. These types of events also strengthen the feeling of patriotism among the youth.

Among the poets and shayar, who presented their compositions on this occasion include Wasim Barelvi, Santosh Anand, Dr. Arun Jamini, Afzal Manglori, Dr. Sarita Sharma, Dr. Arjun Sisodia, Sudeep Bhola, Dr. Atul Sharma, Neeta Kukreti, Inder Singh Negi, Virendra Dangwal, Rajendra Bahuguna and Prof. Sumita Pravin. The poets and shayar present left the audience spellbound with the compositions related to the patriotism and social concerns. In the programme, Secretary Culture, Dilip Jawalkar honoured the poets present.

On this occasion, MLA Mr. Ganesh Joshi, BJP Secretary Mr. Sunil Uniyal ‘Gamma’, Director Culture Shmt. Bina Bhatt and other dignitaries were present.
