Lok Sabha Polls: Elaborate arrangements made for peaceful conduct of 5th Phase

All set for conducting fifth phase of Lok Sabha Polls on Monday; Voting to be held in 51 constituencies spread across 7 states including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar.

Elaborate arrangements have been made for peaceful conduct of fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections on Monday.

Fifty one constituencies, spread over seven states, will go to polls in this phase.

Voting will take place for 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh; 12 in Rajasthan; seven each in Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal; five in Bihar and four in Jharkhand.In Jammu and Kashmir, polling will take place in Ladakh and Pulwama and Shopian districts of Anantnag constituencies.

There are a total of 87,588, 722 registered voters in this phase and 674 candidates are trying their hand at the hustings.

Fate of many prominent candidates including BJP leaders Rajnath singh and Smriti Irani and Congress Presidnet Rahul Gandhi and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi will be decided in this phase.

BJP leader & I&B Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore is taking in Congress-es Krishna Punia in Jaipur Rural. Congress leader Jitin Prasad takes on BSP’s Arshad Ahmad Siddiqui and BJP’s Rekha Verma in Dhaurahra

In Saran BJP’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy is facing off against RJD’s Chandrika Roy.

In Jharkhand’s Koderma, state’s first Chief Minister, Babu Lal Marandi has returned to contest for the fourth time. He takes on BJP’s Annapurna Devi as Jharkhand Vikas Morcha-Prajatantrik candidate.
