J Jayalalithaa Cremation at Marina beach today evening

Chennai : The Apollo Hospitals said in a statement, former TN Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa died of cardiac arrest  at 11:30 pm on Monday.

Former TN Chief Minister mortal remains, wrapped in tricolour, have been taken to Rajaji Hall from her residence in Poes Garden where people can pay their last respects to the iconic leader.

Amma’s cremation would be done on December 6 evening on the historic Marina beach, with full state honours.

Prime Minister Modi will be leaving for Chennai to pay his floral tributes the TN’s iron lady.

Prez Pranab Mukherjee will travel to Chennai today to pay last respects to Jayalalitha.

Rahul Gandhi Congress Vice President will leave for Chennai later today to pay his last respects to Jayalalithaa.

Venkaiah Naidu and Pon Radhakrishnan will represent the Central Govt at the funeral of Jayalalithaa.

Jayalalithaa, undertaking treatment in Apollo hospital since September 22, agonized a cardiac arrest on Sunday evening. Following the cardiac arrest, she was put on a heart assist device.
