India accuses Pakistan on Jadhav sentence
India accuses Pakistan of violating international norms while awarding death sentence to Kulbhushan Jadhav; External Affairs Ministry calls Jadhav an innocent Indian citizen and says, case is based on false allegations.
India has once again sought consular access from Pakistan to meet Kulbhushan Jadhav, who has been awarded death sentence for alleged espionage in that country. Talking to media, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopla Baglay said in New Delhi that without getting the consular access, it cannot be ascertained how Jadhav reached Pakistan. He assured that India will do everything possible to ensure Jadhav’s release.
Meanwhile, Pakistan continues to deny India consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav. Pakistan has also refused to share any information about the former Indian navy officer. Govt of India maintains that Jadhav’s trial and sentencing are against all principles of International law.
