Hyderabad to celebration carnival of buffaloes

Hyderabad is getting geared to witness the ‘Sadar festival’ or Carnival of Buffaloes tonight

This event organized every year by Yadav community every year after Diwali. Hundreds of buffaloes with painted horns, shaven body and adorned with garlands and ornaments are paraded through the streets of Hyderabad. They are accompanied by groups of people dancing to ‘theen taal’ beat. The he-buffaloes buffaloes are later directed to perform stunts, much to the amusement of spectators.
