Hyderabad Based Agri Business Start-Up Raises Seed Capital Through A-Idea Agribusiness Incubator

An agri business start-up in Hyderabad,Inner Being Wellness, received seed funding of an undisclosed amount giving hope and a major boost to the burgeoning entrepreneurship ecosystem of Hyderabad. The company successfully raised money from A-Idea, a technology business incubator National Academy for Agriculture Research Management NAARM, Hyderabad.

“The main vision of the company is to promote a healthy lifestyle and provide options for nutritious food that assists in combating lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity due to growing sedentary habits and consumption of junk food,” the director of the company ,Mr.C S Jadhav said.

It has developed a unique model leveraging agriculture for nutrition thereby promoting use of millets such as Jowar, Ragi Foxtail millet and Bajra, thereby reviving traditional Indian food not only in its natural form but also introducing its use for making pasta, noodles, and other condiments to tickle the urban palate and bring back nutrition in the otherwise carbohydrate rich diet.

The Director of Inner Being  further plans to use the funds in creating a stronger community of farmers, involve them in millet production, foster income generation and improved livelihoods at the rural level and at the same time offering products which are nutritious to the consumers.

Recently the company has been awarded as the Best Millet start –ups  from Telangana state for the year 2016-17 from Society of Millet Research and ICAR- Indian Institute of Millets Research .
