Govt of Telangana wants city- Metro Rail to be fast-tracked

Hyderabad: Featuring the need for speedy work on the ongoing 72km elevated Hyderabad Metro Rail project, Telangana Chief Secretary SP Singh directed senior officials to expedite acquisition of the affected properties in different parts of the city.

The CS specified that Chief Minister KCR desires that most parts of the project will have to be completed this year.

Singh directed Collectors of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts and the city civic Commissioner to expedite acquisition of the remaining properties related to the project.

He instructs the officials to complete acquisition of properties in Badichowdi, Sultan Bazar and Putlibowli areas in the next couple of months.
