Funds released for reorganisation, rejuvenation & strengthening of urban drinking water schemes

In the financial year 2018-19, funds have been released for the reorganisation, rejuvenation and strengthening of urban drinking water schemes. Funds worth Rs 1 crore have been sanctioned by Jal Sansthan for financial year 2018-19 for the reorganisation, rejuvenation and strengthening of under-maintenance urban drinking water schemes.

For the reorganisation work of the Tudiyakot Drinking Water Scheme of Development Block of Mori of Uttarkashi District and giving the administrative and financial approval to reorganisation work of Saras Dhumrali Drinking Water Scheme, according to the budget manual, a financial sanction for the first phase amounting to Rs 7.27 lakh and total amount of Rs 14.23 lakh has been sanctioned. For the supply and installation work of separate size water meters for different zones of Pithoragarh, total amount of Rs 211.98 lakhs have been found justified, on the basis of which the abovementioned amount has been sanctioned. In the government order, while giving the administrative and financial sanction of funds, in the financial year 2018-19, the first instalment of Rs 84.79 lakh has been released.
