E-way bill system in 5 states comes into force

With the roll-out of e-Way Bill system in these States, trade and industry will be further facilitated so far as the transport of goods is concerned.
E-Way Bill system for Intra-State movement of goods came into force today in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh.

This will also help in paving the way for a nation-wide single e-Way Bill system. Union government has asked trade and industry and transporters located in these States to obtain registration and enrollment on e-Way Bill portal namely www.ewaybillgst.gov.in.
E-Way Bill system for all inter-State movement of goods has already been rolled-out from 1st of this month. According to Union Finance Ministry, more than sixty-three lakh e-Way Bills have been successfully generated till date.
