Digital India gets rural boost; Free wifi unveiled in Gujarat’s Udwada village

To further push Digital India revolution in country’s far flung villages, free wifi service unveiled in Udwada village in Gujarat’s Valsad district; I&B Minister picked the village for development under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana; Smriti Irani says PM’s digital India dream is being realised.

Giving a boost to digital revolution in far flung areas across the country is one of the top priorities of the government.

On Wednesday, Wifi Service was launched through video conference in Udwada, Valsad, Gujarat.

Enabling Wifi to reach villages is a step towards fulfilling PM Modi’s vision.

I&B Minister Smriti Irani chose the village under Saansad Adarsh Gram scheme.

The Minister said PM’s dream of digital India is being fulfilled.

On the occasion, Union Minister Manoj Sinha said 1 lakh gram panchayats have been connected to wifi which has ended the digital divide in the country. He said financial inclusion is making the country progress.

Work is being carried out at various levels to realise the dream of Digital India so that the dream of New India can soon be fulfilled.
